Fishing in Russia with the abundance and variety of fish through out the whole season is becoming more attractive to the American Angler. The accommodations are not as good but the fishing is outstanding. Trout in Russia can be taken an Dry or wet flies. It's best to bring a good selection of both. I will suggest some flies what work well on all fish there.

Fishermen using fly rods should bring at least a 7 to 8 wt. rod for best results. For spin fishing, one must bring medium tackle unless catching King Salmon, then use heavy wt. rod and reel. Before booking your trip to Russia, be informed of what fish is available during the week you would like to fish. There are 6 species of Salmon, 3 species Char, Large Greyling, Brown Trout and the Big Rainbow Trout.
